Quick PDF - Files Scanner Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 15, 2026

Last Updated: September 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to Quick PDF - Files Scanner (hereinafter referred to as "the App"), provided by Fuzhou Chengfei Network Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "us"). This policy explains how we handle information related to your use of the App and how you can manage that information.

What Information We Collect

This app is designed for PDF scanning, editing, and document management. An internet connection is required to log in and access the app; once logged in, core functions—such as PDF processing, document scanning, and content editing—are performed locally on your device.

We process information only to the extent necessary to provide product features, ensure device compatibility, and maintain operational stability. Unless you explicitly authorize it or we state otherwise, we do not collect information unrelated to the app's functionality during routine use.

I. Information Provided Upon Your Authorization

1. Files on Your Device

The app can only access specific PDFs, images, scans, screenshots, receipts, or photos of paper documents if you grant permission to access your files or photo library.

File access is contingent upon your specific actions: the app processes only the files you manually select for opening, editing, scanning, or exporting; it does not automatically browse or batch-scan other files on your device. Relevant files are saved locally on your device by default and are not automatically uploaded to the cloud.

2. Camera and Captured Content

The app accesses your device's camera only when you actively initiate the document scanning function to capture images of paper documents, receipts, or similar items. Captured images are saved to your device's photo library or the app's local directory and are not automatically uploaded to a server.

You can revoke camera permissions at any time via your device's system settings. Disabling this permission may render camera-dependent scanning functions unusable but will not affect other features that do not require camera access.

II. Device Information Automatically Provided by the System

To ensure the interface adapts to different devices and to improve operational stability, the system may provide the app with basic device information, such as the operating system version, device model, and screen resolution. We use this information primarily for interface adaptation, compatibility assessment, and troubleshooting.

Under normal circumstances, we do not collect sensitive identification or tracking information such as Apple ID, IMEI, or IDFA.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We will only disclose information in the following circumstances:

- To comply with legal requirements, legal processes, or government requests;

- To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, as well as the rights, privacy, safety, or property of users or the public.

Service Providers

We may work with trusted third-party service providers to support app analytics or hosting. These providers are contractually obligated to process data only according to our instructions and must adhere to confidentiality obligations.

Data Storage and Security

All PDF document operations are performed locally on your device; we do not store your scan results or generated content on external servers. We employ industry-standard security measures to protect any anonymized analytical data, though we cannot guarantee the absolute security of internet transmission or electronic storage..

Information Sharing and Third-Party Services

We may partner with third parties that provide crash analytics, advertising, and statistical analysis services. We require these service providers to handle information in accordance with their responsibilities and to implement protective measures consistent with this policy.

For details, please refer to the privacy links of the specific third-party SDKs used (e.g., Firebase, Google AdMob, Pangle) and review their privacy policies and data processing agreement requirements.

-  Complying with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests from judicial or administrative authorities;

- Preventing fraud, abuse, malicious code, and other activities that harm this App or its users.

We do not use PDF content to infer sensitive attributes—such as your health status, political views, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation—nor do we serve personalized advertisements based on QR code content.

How We Share or Disclose Information

We do not sell your personal information, nor do we rent out PDF content.

Information may be processed or disclosed in the following circumstances:

- Actions initiated by you. For example, using system functions to share, export, copy, or email information, or opening a URL contained within a QR code. In such cases, the information is processed in accordance with the system functions you select or the privacy policies of the third-party services involved.

- Service providers. If services such as crash analytics, cloud-based conversion, statistics, customer support, or other necessary functions are enabled, we may entrust relevant service providers to process limited technical information. We require them to process information according to our instructions and applicable laws, and prohibit them from using the information for unrelated purposes.

- Legal and security matters. We may disclose relevant information when required by law, judicial proceedings, or regulatory requirements, or when necessary to protect the rights and safety of users, the public, ourselves, and our partners.

- Business Changes. In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or asset transfer, relevant information may be transferred as part of the business assets; we will require the recipient to continue adhering to this policy or to provide you with appropriate notice.

As of the effective date of this policy, this App does not use cross-app or cross-website tracking technologies, nor does it use advertising identifiers for personalized advertising. Should this change in the future, we will enable such features only after obtaining legally required authorizations (including, where applicable, requesting permission via AppTrackingTransparency) and updating this policy and the App's privacy disclosures.

Information Security

We implement technical and administrative measures commensurate with the nature of the information and the risks associated with its processing to minimize the risk of unauthorized access, use, modification, disclosure, or loss. However, no device, network, or storage system can guarantee absolute security; please do not transmit highly sensitive information that you do not wish third parties to access via QR codes.
